  • Better Utilize the Town website to disseminate current and accurate information.
  • Seek volunteer participation on boards/commissions.
  • Budget Review process: schedule additional time to Selectboard for review/ approval

Update Personnel Policy Manual, Job descriptions, and Organizational Office Space

  • Updated Personnel Policy Manual presented to the Selectboard – September, 2008
  • Job Descriptions for all employees – September 2008
  • Re-Organization of Office Space – In accordance with construction schedule.

Promote the sale of Business Park lots in accordance with Business Park Covenants and Selectboard Criteria Checklist

á       Work with Lyman Realty to locate perspective Business Park Owners  (on-going activity throughout the year)

Continue to Assess preparedness and readiness of the town to effectively respondent during emergencies.

á       Modify ÒClosure PolicyÓ following the installation of an emergency power source in the Municipal Bldg.

á       Selectboard Approve Updated: EMP and HMP  (ASAP)

á       Install Municipal Bldg defibilirator machine

Upgrade Office Software for assessing and technology (copy machine, phone system, and computer system/ software for office functionality

(Responsibility: Town Manager and Technology Committee to be appointed by the Selectboard)

á       Identify Technology Committee to determine office technology needs and report findings/recommendations to include goals, budget cost, and implementation schedule to the Selectboard by the first Selectboard meeting in November 2008.

  • Town Manager work with office staff to determine assessing software/ hardware needed to update present system. Report to Board by November 2008.

Assess Town Website in order to provide the public current, accurate and easily located information

 

Responsibility: Website Committee

  • Website committee will review other municipal websites and develop a Town of Haverhill Website Goal to be presented to the Selectboard for approval.
  • Implement:: web site goal, expectations for site contents and design, and timeline to accomplish these conditions.

Gather fact finding information relevant to Woodsville Secession

 

(Town Manager working with Staff )

á       Working with town department, gather statistical data (expenses, revenues, and other information) that will assist the Selectboard in addressing the Secession issue. (timeline: Information by first meeting in November, 08)

 

Support further development of Railroad Park

  • Recreation Commission submit report to include budget figure for installation of playground equipment at Railroad Park  (Prior to Budget Review)

Project Use Plan for Armory Property
